    AP Environmental Science (APES) is designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college course in environmental science. Its goal is to provide students with the specific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. In this course, we will cover the following topics: Water resources and water pollution, The atmosphere and air pollution, Global climate and climate changes, Geology, geologic resources, and energy resources, The living world: ecosystems, communities, and populations, and The humans: populations, resource management, and sustainability
